Challenge
This project challenged me to produce a comprehensive set of professional technical drawings and documentation for the Longcross Court interior scheme. The focus was on demonstrating an in-depth understanding of building regulations, accessibility standards and material specifications, translating conceptual design into precise construction information.
Goal
My goal was to communicate design intent through accurate and industry-standard documentation.
This included developing detailed layouts, finishes schedules, lighting and furniture specifications and bespoke joinery details that align with both aesthetic vision and practical feasibility.
Outcome
The outcome is a cohesive and fully resolved production information package covering floor, wall and ceiling finishes, lighting and furniture layouts, and detailed bespoke elements. These outputs demonstrate my ability to bridge creativity and technical precision, ensuring that the final design can be implemented efficiently and safely while maintaining its original concept and spatial quality.

Demolition plans outlining existing walls to be removed to open up the space and improve accessibility and flow
across both floors.

Plans developed in accordance with Building Regulations Part M, ensuring inclusive design and accessibility for wheelchair users with appropriate door widths, accessible toilets and lifts.

Fire safety and emergency exit strategy developed under Building Regulations Part B, highlighting fire exits, extinguishers and assembly points for safe evacuation.

Part K compliance drawings indicating stair and lift placement for vertical circulation and safe access between floors.

Material and sample mood board showing tactile and visual palette, combining natural finishes, acoustic panels and soft tones to enhance comfort and warmth.

A comprehensive palette of floor materials chosen for each zone, balancing durability, safety and aesthetic warmth. The mix of oak, patterned tiles and grey tones defines a cohesive visual flow across spaces.

A refined wall finish scheme featuring timber, acoustic panels and textured ceramics to enhance comfort, acoustics and visual character throughout the interior.

A detailed material and fixture specification designed for functionality and hygiene, combining modern fittings with a neutral and minimal aesthetic.

A curated lighting scheme mixing ambient, task and accent fixtures to create depth, comfort and atmosphere within the interior.

General arrangement plan showing key functional zones from the reception and café to service areas, optimised for accessibility and user flow.

Layout plan highlighting interactive pods, sensory zones and outdoor seating designed to support relaxation,
engagement and inclusivity.

A technical breakdown of furniture, fittings and equipment, documenting key specifications, finishes and suppliers to ensure cohesive material quality.

Detailed mapping of floor materials across the ground floor, specifying product types, finishes and placement for accurate construction reference.

Annotated plan showing the continuation of material finishes across the first floor, maintaining design consistency
and practical zoning.

A specification document outlining product details, dimensions and installation methods for each flooring material
used throughout the project.

A colour coded plan showing material distribution and wall treatments on the ground floor, combining tiles, panels and paint finishes for balanced spatial identity.

First floor wall finish plan integrating acoustic panels, natural timber and geometric tiles. Designed to support both aesthetics and sound performance.

Comprehensive specification of wall materials, including colour codes, suppliers and technical performance, ensuring design precision and build accuracy.

Ground floor lighting layout showing placement of pendant, LED and feature lights. Planned to enhance ambience
and functional illumination across zones.

Lighting plan for the first floor featuring integrated LED systems and pendant lighting to create mood variation and
highlight focal design areas.

Detailed lighting schedule specifying fixture types, wattage, finishes and suppliers. Ensures energy efficiency and unified lighting language throughout.

Technical drawing of a bespoke pod element illustrating plan, elevation, section and 3D axonometric views for
construction accuracy.

A schedule detailing the materials and finishes for the bespoke pod, including acoustic panels, timber cladding,
and upholstery specifications.
